"I want to stop addiction... but I don't know how."
A quiet, human conversation — the first step of every recovery here.
If you've said this to yourself more times than you can remember, you're not alone.
Maybe alcohol or drugs started as something you could control. Now it controls your routine, your relationships, your work, your peace of mind — sometimes, even your hope.
The Turning Point is here to help you take back control — without judgement, without treating you like a problem, and without putting everyone through the same recovery program.
We understand the person before we plan the recovery.
Confidential conversations. No judgement. No pressure.
A quiet, human conversation — the first step of every recovery here.
Maybe your family has tried everything.
And maybe you have tried too. But addiction isn't always something you can simply switch off through willpower.
You may be struggling with more than the substance itself.
- Constant cravings
- Difficulty stopping despite wanting to
- Anger, anxiety or mood changes
- Broken trust at home
- Problems at work or studies
- Isolation from people you once cared about
- Guilt about the things you've done
- Fear of what will happen if you try to stop
The answer isn't another lecture. The first step is understanding what is actually happening.
We Don't Believe Every Person Needs the Same Recovery Plan.
One person may be struggling with alcohol. Another may be dependent on drugs. Another may be using substances to cope with stress, trauma, loneliness or emotional pain. And another may have already tried rehabilitation before. Their recovery cannot be identical — that is why our process begins with understanding the individual.
Understand
We begin by understanding the person's substance-use history, lifestyle, emotional wellbeing, family situation, previous treatment experiences, challenges and recovery goals.
Assess
The individual's needs are assessed so that the appropriate level and type of support can be planned.
Personalise
We create a recovery plan around the individual's needs instead of forcing everyone into the same formula.
Rebuild
Counselling, structured routines, healthy habits, mindfulness, physical activity, recreation and life-skills work become part of the recovery environment.
Prepare
We work on recognising triggers, developing healthier coping strategies and preparing the individual for life beyond rehabilitation.
Continue
Recovery doesn't end simply because someone leaves the centre. Continuing support and relapse-prevention planning are important parts of the journey.
Understand the Person. Understand the Addiction.
Build Recovery Around the Individual.
Speak to Us About a Personalised Plan
Because Care Should Feel Like Care.
A rehabilitation centre shouldn't only be a place where someone is kept away from alcohol or drugs. It should be a place where a person can begin to understand themselves again.
Person Before Program
We don't start with a fixed package and try to fit the person into it. We start by understanding the individual.
Someone Who Listens
People struggling with addiction often hear advice, criticism and warnings. We believe listening comes first.
Personalised Recovery Plan
The individual's needs, challenges and progress guide the recovery plan.
Mind + Body + Routine
Counselling is supported by healthy routines, yoga, pranayama, mindfulness, physical activity, nutritious food and recreation.
Family Understanding
Recovery affects the whole family. We help families understand how they can support the process.
Affordable by Design
Quality care should not become unreachable simply because a family cannot afford an expensive rehabilitation program.
Recovery Beyond Discharge
We focus not only on getting through rehabilitation, but on preparing for life after it.

He Didn't Start The Turning Point Because He Had Read About Addiction.
He Started It Because He Had Lived Through Change.
Durga Prasad SatapathyFounder / Manager
Durga Prasad Satapathy understands that change is possible because he first had to change his own life. After his personal transformation, he worked with different NGO groups and spent time understanding people, families and the realities surrounding addiction.
That experience showed him something deeply important: people struggling with addiction don't only need a place to stay away from substances.
- They need someone who understands them
- They need patience and proper care
- They need someone to listen without judging
- They need an environment to rebuild routine and confidence
- And their families need support too
That belief became the foundation of The Turning Point, started in July 2026. His purpose was simple: bring the understanding he gained through his own journey and work into a rehabilitation environment that is more personal, more caring and more affordable for families.
"I changed my life first. Now I want to help others believe that they can change theirs too."
— Durga Prasad Satapathy, Founder / Manager, The Turning Point
When It's Someone You Love, You Want More Than a Place.
You want to know:
Are they being cared for?
Will someone actually listen to them?
Are they eating properly?
Will they be treated with dignity?
Is there a proper routine?
What happens after they come home?
At The Turning Point, we built our approach around those concerns.
Affordable Care
We believe rehabilitation should be accessible to families who genuinely need help.
Personalised Attention
Every individual has a different story and different needs.
Structured Environment
A meaningful daily routine helps create consistency and healthier habits.
Human Understanding
We don't define someone by their addiction.
Holistic Support
Counselling is supported by healthy routines, physical activity, mindfulness, recreation and nutrition.
Long-Term Thinking
The goal isn't simply getting through the stay. It's preparing for what comes next.
Our Mission
To make compassionate, personalised and affordable rehabilitation support accessible to individuals and families affected by alcohol and drug addiction.
We aim to help individuals develop healthier routines, coping skills, emotional resilience and the confidence to rebuild their lives with dignity.
Our Vision
A future where addiction is met with understanding instead of judgement, and where every person has a genuine opportunity to choose recovery.
We want The Turning Point to become a trusted recovery environment where personalised care, human understanding and responsible treatment come together.
Questions You May Be Afraid to Ask
If alcohol or drug use is becoming difficult to control or is affecting health, relationships, work, responsibilities or daily life, it may be time to seek professional assessment.

Yes. We encourage individuals to understand the recovery process and participate in their own treatment decisions whenever possible.
Where appropriate and with consideration for privacy and the individual's treatment needs, family support can be an important part of recovery.
Recovery continues beyond the centre. We focus on relapse-prevention planning, healthier routines and continuing support.
No. Detoxification and rehabilitation are different stages of care. Some people, particularly those with significant alcohol dependence, may require medically supervised withdrawal management. The appropriate level of care should be determined through professional assessment.
We aim to keep our programs affordable. Contact us for the current program options, inclusions and fees.
We respect the privacy and dignity of individuals and families seeking help. Our team can explain the centre's confidentiality and admission policies during consultation.
